KL Rahul is likely to be considered for the Indian T20I side that is to be picked for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh.

Rahul's recent exploits in IPL 2025 are said to be the reason why he is considered for selection. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant's current form with the bat can be considered the other reaction.

KL Rahul hit an unbeaten century that came in a losing cause against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday. He scored 102 runs off 65 deliveries to help the Capitals post 199 runs for three wickets in their 20 overs.

KL Rahul Inching Closer To His Seventh 500-Plus Season In IPL

However, some sublime batting from Sai Sudharshan (108 runs off 61 deliveries) and Shubman Gill (93 runs off 53 balls) ensured a 10-wicket win for the Titans.

Rahul has scored 493 runs so far in IPL 2025. The right-hander is averaging almost 62 and scoring at a strike rate of almost 150. He is inching closer to yet another 500-run season in his IPL career. With two games to go for DC, with IPL playoff qualification on the line, Rahul's form is key for the Capitals. DC plays against MI in a must-win game on May 21. The winner of this contest will qualify for the playoffs as the fourth team. Rahul already has a century against MI, and he would like to notch up another one.

Leading into the IPL, Rahul played a key role in India's Champions Trophy campaign, averaging 140 in five matches in India's victorious campaign. He has already cemented his place in India's ODI side as the first-choice keeper. Given his recent form and the likes of Pant and Samson struggling, there could not have been a better time for Rahul's T20I comeback.
