Team India recently won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 by beating New Zealand in the final on March 9. The final was played in Dubai with India beating the Kiwis by four wickets to win their third CT title.
The Indian team is currently on a break after the Champions Trophy triumph. The players will get back to competitive cricket as the IPL 2025 starts from Match 22.
The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will represent their respective franchises in the IPL. The season kicks off with a clash between KKR and RCB on March 22 at the Eden Gardens. Mumbai Indians kick off their campaign against CSK on March 23.

The year started for the Men in Blue with an ODI and T20I series against England. The Men in Blue won both the white-ball series heading into the Champions Trophy where they emerged victorious.
Now India's domestic T20 season starts with the IPL 2025 kicking off from March 22 to May 2025. All the top Indian and international cricketers will participate in the tournament.
IPL 2025 From March 22 - May 25
After the end of the IPL 2025 in May, India will return back to international cricket with them hosting teams and also playing abroad. The Indian team will play 3-match ODI series against teams like Bangladesh, Australia, South Africa, England, Afghanistan and West Indies between 2025-2027.
In the build-up to the ODI World Cup 2027, India will be playing 27 ODI matches after the conclusion of the Champions Trophy 2025. Their next assignment in the format will be in about five months from now when they tour Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series in August-September 2025.
They will then tour Australia for a three-match away ODI series in October-November 2025 before hosting the Proteas for a three-match ODI series in November-December the same year.
The next year will begin with another home ODI series, this time against New Zealand in January 2026. After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2026, the Men in Blue will mark their presence in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan at home in June 2026.
India's next ODI assignment will feature three ODIs against England away from home in July, followed by a home ODI series of three games against the West Indies in September-October 2026.
