Priyansh Arya continued his rich vein of form as he absolutely smoked Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowlers as he propelled Punjab Kings (PBKS) to a huge score of 201 for the loss of four wickets in the ongoing match 44 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. Arya scored 69 runs off 35 balls and gave PBKS a blazing start. The southpaw was well supported by Prabhsimran Singh, who played a good second fiddle to Arya in the first wicket partnership of 120 runs in just 71 balls.
Arya attacked from the word go and did not allow any of the KKR bowlers to settle. Harshit Rana leaked the most runs as went for 27 runs in just two overs. In his knock of 69, Arya struck four sixes. The youngster played spin and pace very well. Chakaravarthy and Narine, who are always good in middle overs were not able to trouble Arya and Prabhsimran.

Prabhsimran shifted gears seamlessly after the dismissal of Priyansh Arya and displayed his wide range of shots. The moment of the match was undoubtedly the right-hand batter's assault on Chakaravarthy, where he smashed 19 runs in the 13th over. Parbhsimran always possessed oodles of talent, but the question was when he would fulfill it. His 83 runs off just 49 balls today finally showed the world his big-hitting skills.
None of the KKR bowlers had a great outing with the ball in hand as every bowler went above 8 runs per over.

PBKS post a huge score, task cut out for KKR batters
With such a strong total, PBKS have made a statement of sorts. With the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Marco Jansen, and Arshdeep Singh in good form, KKR batters have task cut out to hunt this massive score down. Also, their batters will be under a lot of pressure, as barring Ajinkya Rahane, none of the other batters have looked confident.
KKR managed to bowl well in the death overs as PBKS could only score less 50 in the last five overs.
