Former New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson is enjoying his time away from international cricket at the moment. He last played for the Kiwis in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Since then, he has been away from the game. He was seen as an expert in the recently concluded IPL 2025. Currently, he is at Lord's watching the ICC WTC 2025 final between Australia and South Africa.
For more than a decade, Kane Williamson was part of the Fab 4 alongside Virat Kohli, Steve Smith and Joe Root. With Kohli announcing his Test retirement last month, only the three remain as of now.

Kane Williamson Picks His Next Fab 4
Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, Williamson picked up the next Fab 4 who will rule the game across formats, he feels. He included names like Harry Brook, Rachin Ravindra, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill in that quarter. The fifth name he included in that list was Cameron Green, who is back in the Australian squad for the WTC final.
"The players that come to mind in terms of multi-format are Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rachin Ravindra and Harry Brook and also, Cameron Green. Those are all outstanding players and have shown fantastic moments in all formats. All young, and their games are just growing" Williamson said while speaking to ESPNcricinfo.
With Green currently involved in playing the WTC final, Gill and Jaiswal will also be seen playing Test cricket for India in the upcoming series against India. Shubman Gill, with who Williamson played at Gujarat Titans, was named the new Test skipper of India. The England series will be his maiden stint as India Test captain.

Jaiswal Finds Mention In Nasser Hussain's Fab 4 List
Previously, former England captains Nasser Hussain and Michael Atherton also picked their next Fab 4's of world cricket. Incidentally, Rachin, Jaiswal and Brook made the cut there as well. Hussain's picks were Jaiswal, Brook, Australia's Travis Head and Saim Ayub of Pakistan, whereas Atherton went ahead with Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis and Rachin, in place of Head and Ayub.
