New Zealand vs Pakistan 2nd T20I Match Preview & Where to Watch Live?

New Zealand are currently playing a T20I series against Pakistan after the end of the Champions Trophy. The Champions Trophy ended on March 9 and this T20I series started from March 16.

The Kiwis won the first T20I by nine wickets, bowling out Pakitan for just 91 runs. Later, they chased down the score within 11 overs. The Kiwis dominated the Men in Green in recent times.

The two teams have played a lot of international cricket in recent times still the Kiwis got the better of Pakistan in the Champions Trophy and now in their own home conditions.

Pakistan were bowled out for just 91 runs in the first T20I against New Zealand This is one of their lowest scores in the T20I format. New Zealand are without their full-strength squad for the series. Meanwhile, Pakistan with all their senior players available are not being able to compete with the hosts in the T20I series.

Former Pakistan cricketers are disappointed with the declining state of Pakistan cricket across formats. Wasim Akram especially has been voicing his concern over the senior players losing their form in major ICC events. The hosts with several of their senior players choosing IPL over the Pakistan series have been able to dominate the visitors at home. However, there is still quality in the Kiwis squad as players like Ben Sears and Ish Sodhi have returned to the side.

Pakistan T20I skipper Agha Salman, after the defeat in the first game, said that the side was not upto the mark in the first T20I and will need to regroup ahead of the second T20I in Dunedin on Tuesday. A defeat in the second T20I will peg them back in the series and Pakistan will need to win the last three to win the series. Both teams then play a three-match ODI series.
