After a shambolic display in the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan will be aiming to put in a much better performance in the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand. The first T20I will be played on Sunday March 16 at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. With senior players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan rested from the T20I series, Salman Ali Agha has been tasked to lead the Pakistan side in the shortest format.
All-rounder Shadab Khan, who has been recalled into the side has been named Agha's deputy. Mohammad Haris also makes a return to the side after a lengthy lay-off. However, opening batter Saim Ayub missed out as the southpaw is yet to recover from an ankle injury he sustained in South Africa.
