RCB vs KKR Pitch Report Weather Report Match 58 IPL 2025

Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy stadium is all set to host the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) IPL 2025 match on Saturday, May 17. The match resumes the season after it was postponed by the BCCI for a week on May 9. This is also the reverse fixture between the two sides.

The match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was called off due to political warfare between India and Pakistan. The BCCI then assessed the situation and pushed back the IPL 2025 season for a week. With the season resuming, RCB are placed second and one win away from making it to the playoffs. KKR need to beat RCB to stay alive in the race.

The BCCI then announced the revised schedule with RCB and KKR resuming the season and the final to be played on June 3. Ahmedabad is the likely venue for the final. Meanwhile, a lot has happened over the past week. Several overseas players have pulled out from the remaining leg of the IPL. The BCCI was then forced to make a rule change as they introduced temporary replacements for the remainder of the season. Bengaluru and Ahmedabad are two of the six venues which will host the remaining games.

RCB vs KKR Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru - Pitch Report

The Chinnaswamy Stadium has not been a happy hunting ground for RCB. They have won just two out of the five games played here so far. They won a high-scoring encounter against RR by 11 runs and another high-scoring encounter against CSK by two runs. I both these games, RCB scored over 200 batting first. Given the history of this ground, 200 is the par score batting first and something similar is expected in this contest as well.
