Sri Lankan Lions and Afghanistan Pathans will feature in the fifth match of the Asian Legends League 2025 scheduled at the Miraj International Cricket Stadium in Udaipur on March 12. Both teams are looking for their first win of the tournament.
Sri Lankan Lions, despite a commendable bowling performance against the Indian Royals, suffered a batting collapse in their previous outing. Their bowlers, led by Vikrum Sanjaya's impressive four-wicket haul, successfully restricted the Indian Royals to 161. However, their batting line-up faltered, ultimately being dismissed for a paltry 115 runs.
The Lions will be counting on their experienced stars, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Thisara Perera, to ignite their batting order and deliver a much-needed turnaround.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan Pathans showcased their batting prowess in their opening match against the Asian Stars, posting a formidable 216 runs. Shoaib Khan's blistering century, a tournament first, and captain Asghar Afghan's explosive 65 off 36 balls highlighted their batting strength.
