When players like Shubman Gill and a few others, along with members of the support staff, neglected the waiting fans, head coach Gambhir made sure to stay back and give autographs to all before heading to the hotel. However, Arshdeep Singh posed for photos, and Axar Patel also spent some time with the fans before leaving the premises.

Notably, Gautam Gambhir was seen carrying a Knight Riders bag, which fans felt could be his lucky charm. He had the bag slung over his shoulder, a reminder of his involvement in KKR’s title-winning campaign in 2024, where he served as mentor. That successful run earned him the head coach role for India, following Rahul Dravid’s tenure.

The defending champions will kick off their continental cup campaign against the UAE. Their most anticipated clash—against Pakistan—will take place on Sunday, and they will face Oman as their final group-stage opponent.

The players have been training rigorously at the ICC Academy in Dubai. The likes of Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, and Shubman Gill have reportedly been spending extended time in the nets batting. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma have been seen engaging closely with the support staff.
