Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is currently playing for India A on the tour of England, will join the Yorkshire CCC team ahead of the Metro Bank ODI Series.
Chennai Super Kings' captain will join the elite list of Indian players to represent a domestic team in England, as the 28-year-old signs for Yorkshire for the full season. The Yorkshire cricket club announced the official signing of Ruturaj Gaikwad on their website
“Ruturaj has a proven record in all formats and is a multi-faceted cricketer who will strengthen us greatly in the second half of the season.
"Everyone at Yorkshire CCC is excited by Ruturaj’s signing and we look forward to welcoming him in July,” said the General Manager of Yorkshire CCC.

Ruturaj Gaikwad Excited to Fulfill Long-Time Dream with Yorkshire
Ruturaj Gaikwad, the former IPL winner, is elated for the opportunity. It was his major goal to experience cricket in England, and he’s happy to work with Yorkshire for the remainder of the season.
“I’m excited to be joining up with Yorkshire for the rest of the English domestic season. It has always been a goal of mine to experience cricket in this country, and there is no bigger club in England than Yorkshire".
"We have some vital games in the County Championship, and the One Day Cup is a great opportunity to win some silverware,” said Gaikwad after the signing."
Head Coach Anthony McGrath was happy to welcome Ruturaj Gaikwad, as he feels he’s well suited to his plans and appreciates his versatility in batting.
“I’m extremely pleased to see Ruturaj sign with us for the second half of the season. He is a very accomplished cricketer with a natural all-round game that is well suited to the cricket we want to play.
“Ruturaj will give us extra solidity in our batting lineup while also having the ability to score quick runs when required. He’s an exciting talent and one I know is highly rated across the game.”
Ruturaj Gaikwad recently recovered from a minor shoulder injury suffered during IPL 2025. He was added to the India A tour of England, and now that the two Test matches between England Lions and India A are over (with one match remaining in the tour), Ruturaj is expected to join Yorkshire CCC in July. He will start against Surrey in the County Championship and stay with the White Rose till the end of the season.
