Rohit took to his Instagram story to share a picture of his Team India helmet, with the caption, "Forever grateful 23.06.07." The post was a quiet nod to where it all began.

In Tests, too, Rohit grew into a dependable opener. Under his captaincy, India won the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy.
