Wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klassen's international future with South Africa could be over after he was not featured in Cricket South Africa's 18-player contract list. Klassen, who called his time in the game's longest format in January 2024, was one of the central figures in only white-ball contract in the previous cycle. Notably, it has emerged that Klassen is set to prioritize playing T20 leagues across the globe.
CSA said in a statement that "discussions regarding his future are ongoing and a final decision will be made in due course." David Miller, who, like Klassen, was on a white-ball-only deal last year, has accepted a hybrid contract. The southpaw's deal allows him to play in various T20 leagues and also "participate in specific agreed-upon bilateral tours and ICC events." Rassie van der Dussen has also accepted the hybrid deal.

Kwena Maphaka gets maiden CSA contract
The contract list features Lizaad Williams, whose career has been marred with injuries; Senuran Muthusamy; and 18-year-old pace sensation Kwena Maphaka for the first time. David Bedingham, Wiaan Mulder and Kyle Verreynne, who were given contract upgrades (added to the central contract list midway through the season), are in the CSA 18-member contract list.
